What Should You Put In Your Basketball Backpack?

I decided to do a basketball bag article for you guys because many people are curious to know what I bring in my bag to out hoop section or to the gym. Many people take hours and hours to get ready for the gym, and I am actually one of those people. First What kind of bag do I personally use? Right now I am using the Kobe Mamba backpack.

I actually got this bag from one of my friends for my birthday. It is super useful and it lasts for a long time. Check it out by clicking the Amazon logo. So if you are a real hooper, a real hooper always carries basketball with them. If you haven’t decided what ball, please check out my basketball reviews.

I know a lot of you guys don’t be wearing your hoop shoes to the gym. So what do I wearing to the gym? I personally enjoyed wearing slides, really comfortable, and really chill. I know some sneakerhead might wear some Jordans or some nice Kobes. It just depends on what you like.

Accessories:

There is a lot of little things we need for hooping, but we never really pay attention to. Which can help us a lot during our games. These play a big part in basketball.

1. Towel, I personally sweat a lot during pick-up games or even in a real game. During a timeout, I can just dry myself off.

  2. Athletic Wrap, sometimes I might have a hurt wrist or a twisted ankle. Most time I use an athletic wrap for extra protection.

3. Basketball Pump, you never know when you leave your ball in the trunk, the ball expanse and compress according to the weather.

  4. Shoe Laces, I carried extra shoelaces, because you never know when your shoelaces are going to blow on you. I had that happened many times before. If your laces ripped during a big game, you can’t really play anymore.

5. Icy Hot, I do have bad ankles, especially during the cold season. I usually just use icy hot to release the pain.

Clothes (basketball top, basketball shorts, and socks)

  • Basketball Top – I normally like to hoop in dry-fit clothes. You can hoop in any kind of shirt, but I prefer basketball tops. This top is amazon essentials, and it’s 95% polyester and 5% elastane. You can basically do any physical activity in this tank top.
  • Basketball Shorts – I assume that most basketball players hoop in basketball shorts. I like my shorts mid to low cut in terms of the height and the length. I know many people who like to wear their shorts below their knees, but I personally like them right above my knee. It looks better with compression pants.
  • Basketball Socks – It is made with 85% cotton, 10% nylon, 5% spandex. It is super soft and stretches on your feet. This is the part where most of us are different. I personally just wear the same socks to the gym and after the gym. It depends on where I am hooping, and when I am hooping. For example, I have multiple games on a Saturday, I will change my socks after every game. That’s is just personal preference, I like the feeling of new socks.
